It can’t always be smooth sailing! Blockers are the name for anything that gets in your way.
In Candy Crush Solitaire, you'll find:
Chocolate
Chocolate Blockers keep cards locked up tight until all the chocolate is cleared away! Each blocker shows off a suit or a rank. To clear one, just match it with a card from the Tableau. If there’s more than one with the same symbol, start from the left and work your way through. And for rank blockers, any red or black card with the same rank will do the trick—sweet and simple!
Liquorice Blocker
Liquorice Blocker Cards add a sticky twist! These cards need two or three matches (depending on the type) to clear.
- Simple Liquorice Blocker: Needs 2 matches.
- Double Liquorice Blocker: Needs 3 matches.
To unlock a Liquorice Card, play another card one rank higher or lower. Once unlocked, you’ll need another one-rank-higher-or-lower card to clear the freed card. Keep matching to wipe out that Liquorice for good!
Bubblegum Troll in the Hold Slot
The Bubblegum Troll Card is a tricky surprise! When topmost, it takes over the Hold Slot, making it unusable. The Troll clears automatically, adds three cards to the Stockpile, and activates a Troll Streak Meter. To free the Hold Slot, clear three cards in a row—but if you break the streak, the Troll returns! While the Troll’s there, the Hold Slot stays locked with a playful animation if tapped.
Sour Bear (Gummy Card)
The Sour Bear adds some bouncy mischief! It hops to a new Gummy Card each turn, and when it’s on top, that card can’t be cleared. To remove the Sour Bear, clear all the Gummy Cards. But remember, it won’t stop jumping until only one Gummy Card is left—so plan your moves wisely!
